CrossingGard® Grille with ThreatProtect™
An Elevated Emergency Response Security Grille
The CrossingGard® Grille with ThreatProtect™ is designed for emergencies and public access control. Using intuitive technology, the operator on this grille integrates directly with your existing alarm system. It promptly closes during a lockdown situation to zone the building and opens during other emergencies, such as fire, to clear a path for exiting.
The CrossingGard Grille comes standard with a UL-325-compliant safety edge sensor that detects obstructions when the grille is closing. This safety feature helps prevent the grille from closing on objects. The operator also comes standard with a reliable battery backup that keeps the grille operating during a power outage. A key override gives you full control over who has access to your security grille system.

The CrossingGard Grille with ThreatProtect comes standard with a steel counter-balance shaft and aluminum mill finish guides.
Curtains are available in the following models:
Visionaire Model – 5/16” solid aluminum rods at 2” on center with either vertical chains of eyeleted aluminum spaced at 9” apart or heavy-duty aluminum links staggered by tube spacers.
5015 Model – 3/16” thick aluminum links with 5/16” solid aluminum rods spaced 11/2” apart and ½” diameter composite tube spacers on every rod.
The bottom bar comes standard heavy-duty extruded aluminum in mill finish.

The specialized ThreatProtect Operator features a battery backup that ensures the door will continue to operate in the event of a power outage.
This grille also comes standard with a UL325 compliant sensing edge that prevents the grille from closing on an object.

The LED Light Kit provides a high-visible status indication for overhead doors and grilles. Designed for challenging environments like fire and emergency services, parking garages, and warehouses, the effective LED light strips limit downtime, maintenance, and repair costs.
Magic Switch
A touchless activation device designed to open and close doors with the wave of a hand. It's compatible with all operators that have a primary entrapment device and are configured for momentary contact to close. The Magic Switch is easy to retrofit in an existing application and features a clean, stainless steel face plate.
Seismic Performance Validation
We can provide project specific seismic calculations for all coiling doors that are mounted Face of Wall to steel or masonry. Seismic performance validation is per ASCE 7-05.
SentryGate® Grille
Commercial Security Grilles
Our most secure grille in the product line up, the SentryGate’s® patented design is an alternative to traditional rolling or counter grilles. Featuring a unique curtain comprised of injection molded components and continuous metal rods, the SentryGate® provides the ultimate protection to a parking garage entrance or in front of or behind a glass storefront or closed pharmacy counter.
The SentryGate’s patented design is an aesthetic alternative to traditional rolling or counter grilles and is available in white or black. The custom gate’s contoured curtain profile allows the unit to tightly store in an overhead coil. Also available in a compact model, the compact unit is installed in spaces where a rolling counter door would be used, such as pharmacy or concession counter openings. The full sized commercial security gate unit is typically used for full sized or very wide openings.

The SentryGate® combines high strength injection molded components with continuous metal rods spaced every two inches. The smooth finish is available in a black or white matte.
Surrounding components are clear anodized aluminum as standard. Optional finishes are black anodized or selected color powder coat finish.

Our doors can open by motor, hand-crank, or push-up operation, depending on size, weight and/or frequency of operation.
Model MG – A medium duty operator for doors that will cycle no more than 20 times per day
Model SG – A super duty, full logic operator for larger doors or doors which may periodically cycle more than 20 times per day (used with Extreme® option).
Tube Motor - If aesthetics or strict dimensional limitations around the header are key, our concealed tube motor is a much smaller operator – and available only with the compact model

Compact model (ESG 20) for openings 2’ wide by 1’6” high up to 14' wide by 10' high.
Standard model (ESG 21) for all other openings up to 23' 4" wide by 14' high, or smaller doors which have high cycle requirements

The doors are constructed for daily use and can withstand operation of up to 20 cycles per day – that’s 50,000 cycles for the lifetime of the door.
If your requirements call for more than this, upgrade to the 100,000 cycle springs on your SentryGate® Grille.
Rolling Security Grilles
Custom built to an exact opening size, the commercial-duty design is durable, requires little-to-no maintenance and offers ease of repair with readily available parts. Install these overhead grilles behind storefront glass, at service window openings, in schools, malls, restaurants, healthcare settings and more.
We offer several different security grille models, with different material options. Multiple opening sizes, as well as straight block or staggered brick patterns make the rolling grille variations practically unlimited. Our security grilles can be powder coated in nearly 200 stock colors as well as custom options and upgrades such as flame retardant polycarbonate inserts to prevent theft of small articles.
For convenience, the security grille curtain stores in an overhead coil supported by the guide extensions for an out of sight, compact storage solution. The security grille is also removable with a manual release system. This feature satisfies building safety code exit requirements by providing a wall-mounted pull handle that disengages the motor so the grille can open partially for egress.
When you need to protect areas from unauthorized access, intrusion or theft but don’t want to limit visibility or air flow, our rolling security grilles are the perfect solution.

Combine two different slat profiles in the same curtain. Typically, a standard slat is combined with a perforated slat or even rolling grille for ventilation and security.

Superimposed Doors
Combine two different curtains on the same opening. Typically, an insulated door is used in conjunction with an open design rolling grille to provide ventilation. When extreme weather or sound resistance is desired, we can provide superimposed/double insulated curtain assemblies.

Chain Diverter for MGH Operators
This option moves the auxiliary chain out of the clear opening and to the side of the door – enabling free movement through the door and making a chain bag unnecessary.
Fixed Panels
Grille curtain can be mounted in a fixed frame assembly. It can be installed separately, or installed near a rolling grille curtain to complement the aesthetics. Often used in parking garages.
Hood and Operator Covers
Metal cover to protect the coil or operator from exterior weather, debris or to meet OSHA or UL 325 safety requirements.
Powder Coating Grilles
Powder coat finish in more than 180 colors is available on perimeter components such as the aluminum bottom bar, hoods, wall angles, tubes and fascia. This finish is not available on the grille curtain.
Trim Package
In applications where exterior aesthetics are important, such as hotels, condominiums, convention centers and parking garages, the addition of a trim package can cover unsightly hardware and contribute to the building's architecture.

The grilles are constructed for daily use and can withstand operation of up to five cycles per day. Dependent on curtain configuration and spring selection.
If your requirements call for increased speed (up to 24 inches per second), more than 50 cycles per day, or 300,000 cycles lifetime, consider our line of High Performance products.
Non Fire Rated
Door Systems
McKeon grille assemblies are custom-designed to meet your specific needs. There are more than six curtain patterns and anodized finished to chose from, either vertical or side coiling. Self-opening models are designed to provide exiting when security is desired in the path of egress.

Safescape Models G4000 and G4500 are side coiling self-opening security grilles with emergency egress.

SC3000 Series security grille and service doors are side activated closures constructed of solid curtain slats, perforated curtain slats or of a security open-type grille curtain.

PF3000 service doors are custom designed to accommodate any opening size.
Safescape® G4000 Series
These units are intended for use where both security and egress are issues. In the event of an emergency, power failure, activation of a facility’s fire alarm system or smoke detection system, the security grilles move to the fully open position. This is accomplished without the use of electricity or battery back up systems. In the emergency mode these units provide the required clear egress path. In the non-emergency mode, these units provide required security.
For higher occupancy loads the G4500, with integral swinging egress doors, is recommended.
These units provide a safe, efficient and economical means to solve the emergency egress versus security problem. They are ideal for schools, hospitals, office buildings and airport applications.
SC3000 Series
These units are opened and closed with a positive action system that is housed within the coil box assembly. Side coiling closures enable the designer to close off areas where head room and side room restrictions exist and where conventional coiling overhead doors and grilles do not solve the problem. These closures are capable of navigating around a radius as small as 12 inches. All SC3000 side coiling closures are available with an optional floor track.
SC3000 side coiling closures can be used in retail, commercial, schools, hospitals, subways and parking facilities. They are primarily used for security and crowd control. Side coiling closures do not require floor tracks.
SC3000 Series security grille and service doors are side activated closures constructed of solid curtain slats, perforated curtain slats or of a security open-type grille curtain.
The SC3000 Series is available in four models:
SC3000G – side coiling security grille
SC3000D – side coiling service door
SC3000D-IS – side coiling insulated service door
SC3000PF – side coiling perforated service door
Model PF3000
PF3000 service doors are custom designed to accommodate absolutely any opening size.
These doors are available in prime painted galvanized steel, aluminum, stainless steel or can be powder coat finished to any color requirement. Service doors require less headroom and side room than product alternatives such as swinging or sliding type doors. They also offer more security and are highly durable and easy to repair and maintain.

Exam Room Counter Door meets the ASHRAE/Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) recommendations for all exam room finishes to be impact, tamper and ligature resistant.

Rolling Counter Doors, are used in both interior and exterior applications.They offer a more streamlined look than traditional rolling doors. When a full door with compact door components is desired, full-height units are available.
They provide maximum security and require very little head room and side room.

The Insulated Counter Door features a patented PVC back slat that holds the melamine foam insulation in place within the curtain. It is compact and aesthetically pleasing, offering a more streamlined look than a traditional rolling door.
Exam Room Rolling

The Exam Room Counter Door allows for healthcare and institutional facilities to utilize the same exam room for medical and behavioral patients back to back. Using the exam room counter door to create a multi-purpose room saves the healthcare provider money and resources while providing needed security for patients.
Exam Room Counter Door is made to be durable. It comes standard with a steel curtain for optimal strength. In the event of brunt force, impact resistant guides and end locks ensure the curtain will stay within the guides.
The fascia side motor is above the ceiling with the coil above the medical cabinet creating a completely flat surface facing the patient's room to cover potentially dangerous equipment. All fasteners are concealed and the bottom bar is flat, creating an anti-ligature space.

Rolling Counter Doors
Rolling, roll up, and coiling counter shutters are designed and manufactured to accommodate both interior and exterior applications up to 28′ wide by 12′ high. They provide maximum security and require very little head room and side room.
These units are available in either prime painted galvanized steel, stainless steel or they can be powder coat finished to any desired color. All coiling counter shutters are available in manual push-up, manual hand crank or motor operated operation.
Coiling counter shutters can be for security in area separation walls and are ideal for use in schools, hospitals, museums, casinos and other areas which may require protection and security.

When a service opening is present, rolling counter doors are a great choice for use in cafeterias, stadiums, arenas, hospitality and educational facilities, public spaces, healthcare offices, and many other locations. Roll up counter shutters offer a custom appearance (with no exposed edges) and fast installation, slip-in units arrive ready to be set into existing walls. Units may be used in masonry or drywall openings from 4" to 13" thick.
When space is at a minimum, we offer an alternate design, with concealed tubular motors that provide a solution for strict dimensional limitations around the header or aesthetic requirements that lend themselves to its smaller, compact design.
